Thats because you need to use the Cricut Makers knife blade to cut. To change this, we will select edit tools, Then you will select the rotary blade and click continue.. Insert the rotary blade the same as the knife blade by releasing the clamp, switching out the tool and clasping the clamp back tight. . Oh, Im using an iPad. My answer for this is based on experience. At first, I really thought that I was going to just make shirts for my kids and label everything in my house with vinyl, lol. Then I ventured into cards for my family and friends. Then I wanted to be able to make leather teardrop earrings and then I wanted to make 3D projects using chipboard and wood. Then I wanted to cut easy patterns with my machine and sew them without having to line everything in backing first. Note from Rebekah: The heavy chipboard is a thousand times better than the cereal box! If I intend to use vinyl or heat transfer with chipboard, I apply this FIRST to the chipboard and cut together.
