I wish I knew why this shot works… It just does. Maybe it’s because it seems so casual, almost accidental. But at the same time, it’s wonderfully composed. The girls’ pose is perfect. She is relaxed and completely natural. The statue is stiff and posed. And yet the hands of both statue and girl are very similar. The juxtaposition is lovely. It says something: how we can view people through the lens as objects of art and how, as a result, they become such objects — like the statue — while being completely unaware of us. Or something like that. 🙂
Anyway… love it. It’s really good.

te ha quedado un montaje muy bonito, ojala las polaroid tuvieran esa calidad
saludos
Quinn, thank you very very much. I´m really pleased with your comment.
By the way I have to say that your work in Slow Slip is great!
Besapiens, gracias. Es cierto que la calidad de una Polaroid difícilmente alcanzaría la resolución que ofrecen las nuevas cámaras, pero la magia de aquellas máquinas sigue siendo única.
