I bought this earpiece to replace my previous Plantronics Voyager earpiece, and found it to be extremely easy to pair to my phone. I purchased this unit 4 months ago and have had problems with connections ever since. The sound quality is good and the battery lasts a standard 8 hour day with an average of 30 or so calls a day ranging from 5 min. I am already afraid if another handset sent to me will be working. It charrged up. This is incredibly annoying. If you have small ears, this is the headset for you. My jabra didn't have any of these issues, I lost if in Heathrow airport. The auto charging storage box makes sure it's always topped off and ready to go the distance. All my older ones were Legends I believe. Battery life is great. The Plantronics 5220 has got excellent call quality, is easy to use and is very comfortable. First, it is quite fiddly to put the product on - it literally took me min. We are experiencing bluetooth connection issues, between the base unit and the headset. The case's cradle part is awkward to use - the headset sticks to it when you try to pick it up. USB led works with Outlook, changes color etc. Good luck. Plantronics was great to replace it for me. It works well for that use case when it is able to connect and remain connected to my iphone 7. Often on Bkype for business calls I can hear but the mic doesn't work. I bought my assistant one as well and got rid of her telephone. I was disappointed with the reproduced voice-sound. I talk up to 2 hours a day [and on standby for up to 10 hours] so I only need to charge once for 2 to 3 days of use. I love my Voyager 5200 UC so much that I bought a few to give as gifts! The specs said it could go 98ft.I returned this product. The only nagging issue I have is that when my phone changes wifi next work the headset pauses(no sound can be heard for 3 seconds) and i miss parts of a conversation. I opened a case with Plantronics support and they told me it was a RMA. Call quality and noise cancellation are excellent. The fit is basically the same if you remember to change the ear"plugs" to the right size. The product does look the business, but has some serious flaws. The plastic is too hard and there is not enough cushioning or pliability. I can travel with the headset without even carrying the case, so that's one less thing to worry about. Great Bluetooth for my laptop and cell phone. Poly is certified (when offered) with all major communication platforms. This thing goes through ear pieces like crazy! After bought this 5200 UC, the portal case also acts as desktop charger is useless to me. The comfort level is excellent, even with my glasses.

Excellent design and quality. I love the desktop charger but it is no longer, I am using Voyager Legend in past and love the desktop charger so much althought the material of the headset is not durable. Important also the build quality that has been improved compared with 3200 UC model. I did and IT DID! I had a Voyager Legend.

I am not an avid wirter of reviews, but i thought, i should give a little insight, after quite a long time of daily usage. Only drawback? I always have it with me and I am very happy with it. I purchased this item about 4yrs ago when the mic on my cell phone stopped working. The website description should say "In most cases, Work seamlessly across smartphones, laptops, tablets, and Bluetooth-enabled desk phones" because unless you are using the dongle, it doesnt work seamlessly with my polycom device and according to plantronics support "it can be a compatibility issue, using Built in Bluetooth (on my pc which is an Alienware Aurora R8) is not very reliable, it might be triggering multipoint and that is why this is happening. It isnt very loud. Now I have to constantly adjust the fit as I talk. Easy to place the headset on it, easy to pick it up. I would not change this headset for anything. I upgraded to the 5200 UC. Plantronics needs to figure out a way to connect the mobile platform to the Bluetooth adapter and I would be happy to modify my rating to a 5 star. - Connectivity: Pairs, but it's not very reliable. In short, I highly recommend it. Best in Business, With Room for Improvement. The battery lasts a Long time but I'm not on the phone all day is say 1-2 hours a day love the carrying case the fact that it's also a charger is just a plus to me !! They worked as promised and my friends always asked what bluetooth I had. I initially tried to use this with my Polycom vvx 601, using BT as the connection mode. Im sure this is a good company but this product is sub par. location, time of day, laptop, connection type [laptop bluetooth or USB dongle that came with unit] in all these cases my calls will fade in and out so peers cannot hear me - some issue with the microphone, as I can hear them just fine. Was not told , when I bought the headset that the batteries could NOT be replaced, that I had to buy a whole new earpiece each time the battery went out. once the audio delay gets too long it will disconnect from all devices, then reconnect. Amazing!!! I then installed the dongle on the polycom and it worked as it should. It also works like a dream with Ubuntu 16.04 what I use mainly at work. The unit would pick up odd sounds like banjo playing random notes which cancelled out the voice of person I was talking to. It's clear, has great range, and doesn't pick up a lot of ambient noise. **Plantronics Manager Pro is not supported with the desk phone only models. Just purchased 5220. It is very lightweight, sound quality is excellent and I just don't know anything how to make it better. Sometimes in the line of work i do, i am on hold for long periods of time.
